So this was Saffron City. Cerise had heard a lot about Kanto and, so far, she wasn't too impressed with it. Nothing that necessarily stood out to her as being bad; quite the contrary, she was actually liking a lot of what she was seeing. But there were a lot people who went on like it was the greatest region to ever exist in the history of the entire Pokemon world, and she just wasn't seeing it. Additionally, she had expected to find a whole bunch of Pokemon she'd never seen before upon coming here, but as it turned out, all but a small handful of them could be found in Kalos as well. Granted, many of them were far more common here in their native region, but it was still a bit disappointing.
Still, this city was quite nice. While not quite as large as Lumiose, it still gave off a similar vibe, what with both being the largest and most technologically-advanced cities in their respective regions. She had also stopped and paid Celadon City, the second largest city in Kanto, a visit. A rather beautiful city, marred only by the somewhat shady game corner. Of course, by then, the fact that it had been used as a front by the now-defunct Team Rocket was common knowledge. Despite it still being open, it wasn't nearly as popular as it used to be...a shame, since that was by far the most appealing place about Celadon as far as Cerise was concerned.
Either way, Cerise had a reason for being in Saffron. There was reportedly a branch of the Cruor here, and one of the higher-ups had asked Cerise to check it out and see how things were going while they figured out something a little more permanent to do with her in light of her recent promotion. It wasn't like she had anything better to do, and she wasn't going to complain about a chance to visit another region on someone else's dime, so why the heck not. Apparently, she was supposed to meet another member around this specific location, and they would lead her to whatever base was set up there.
All the while, she played the part of the eager tourist, oohing and aweing at everything that looked even remotely interesting and stopping locals to ask for directions to places she didn't actually have any intentions of going to, and fully taking advantage of her thick accent to make it all the more "obvious" that she was a tourist passing through. She had to admit, she was enjoying it a little more than expected, though she was still looking forward to being able to drop the act.

Falling through the cracks...
--------------------------------------------- Tagging: @cerise Now Listening To: N/A Pretty Lil' Thoughts: Sorry for the wait!~ --------------------------------------------- An order was an order...
His face was straight and his expression blank. Nothing to show but an empty gaze from crystal blue irises and nothing to be heard other than a lifeless and cold voice in front of a superior. He acted his part. Yes...he acted. He knew well what he desired, and it was out of best interest that he fulfilled another's. If they desired him so much as to grovel, then he would have to do that while kissing leather clad feet.
The next order was a simple one: escort their guest. His teeth cringed earlier that evening thinking of the worst case scenario. "They finally are going to do it!" His fingers curled as if he could strangle the life straight from someone's throat that evening, "They finally are going to degrade me into some high-class, underground harlot!" The order in person was much more assuring. For when he would finally ask, his shoulders would relax...slightly. He had his orders, and so he would take to the streets of Saffron.
"I believe this will be more bearable," Hikari's eyes would see the light of day. It was ironic given the state of the city, "A means to an end. Yes." The order had been simple, and one of many that he would have to endure! With the recent events in Saffron and the established headquarters, Hikari was able to appeal to the superior's good mood. Putting himself in the forefront of the other like ranked grunts who had aspirations. Aspirations that paled in comparison to his own.
"Escort a stranger and then see to Celadon City," he reasoned to himself, "A headquarters for myself and a rank with it comes later."
He would use his civilian clothing; blending in as usual. His flowing Ofurisode kimono would pour like twin falls of silk that would pool upon the ground if he would kneel low enough. The blotches of pink were like blossoming sakura that reached from shadowed silhouette art. His steps upon the classical wooden geta with his hair bouncing and shimmering with a pristine sheen with each comb of sunlight.
"A foreigner." He had remembered the vague details. "Not many of those around because of...recent events." The violet haired boy would fix his face to be like a mask. He wore it with caution and moved through the streets exercising the same extremes. An immediate halt bringing him to a stop as among a particular group of people, one person stood out.
What was the best way to phrase his intent?
"Excuse me, ma'am," the violet haired boy gently spoke to the immigrant, "Are you...searching for someone?"
...falling down into the darkness.

A young male with violet hair and blue eyes; answers to 'Orchid'. That was who Cerise was instructed to look out for in a text message she'd just received. That seemed like it'd be easy to spot enough. She couldn't help but wonder what this person would be like, given they were supposedly a member of Cruor. This place was ruthless, and she couldn't help but picture some kind of innocent-looking pretty boy. Boy was she not ready for how much of an understatement that would end up being. For now, she was simply mingling with the locals, a pleasant smile on her face. It was every bit as fake as her being a tourist, but all the same, it was the perfect cover.
Once most of the crowd dispersed and she was once again on her own, she noticed a young girl(?) approach her and ask a question. Not even thinking about it, Cerise responded "Not quite; I'm actually supposed to be meeting someone here...a young man with violet hair...and blue..." Her words trailed off as she got an actual look at the person who approached her and realized they fit the description to the letter. But she wasn't expecting anything like this. "...sorry, I blanked out a moment there...I'm supposed to be meeting someone...Orchid was the name, I believe?..." There's no way this is the person she's supposed to meet.
It was hard to fathom that someone who looked like this would be part of such a ruthless organization as Cruor. Either way, her accent alone would likely make it obvious that she was the "foreigner" that Orchid was sent to retrieve and lead back to the HQ. Either way, Cerise decided that she'd just roll with it for now. Whatever the case, her curiosity about this person was already beginning to get the better of her. And on the off chance that it wasn't the person she was waiting for, she'd just continue along like nothing happened. Wouldn't be any skin off of her nose.

Falling through the cracks...
--------------------------------------------- Tagging: @cerise Now Listening To: N/A Pretty Lil' Thoughts: Will type the next reply from my new computer. This one is still funny with the keys. T_T --------------------------------------------- "Well met, madam."
He was proper by word, but everything else beyond that reeked of deceit. First there was a smile that crept across from one cheek to the next, and then a hand inviting the woman to follow it. Not him, rather than hand itself. Though the expression and mannerisms were forced, his notice of her features were not. After all, she had something that many of the organization's cohorts had: a smile.
It was nerve-racking to say the least. But he would have to take it for what it was. "Happy to be in Kanto? The floral life here is quite lovely, after all. Although, it is no Floaroma Town." A hazy little memory of the Gracidia flowers would dissolve like smoke as quickly as it came. The sweet expression was truly blissful for that moment. "Are you prepared to depart? I am simply to escort you successfully, as commanded madam." He restated his mission. It was assurance for the violet haired boy more. Hikari would sway and spin around. Eyes set on the woman, he would show his smile once again.
"Though if you would like to sight see, that too is fine by me." It was coy just as his words were deceptive. He simply desired this to be over.
...falling down into the darkness.

So it seemed like he really was the person she was waiting for. Usually, she was a tad more composed than this, but she was caught so off guard by this that it couldn't help but show a little in her expression. Though, she picked up on some subtle hints of her own; ones that indicated that this young and feminine boy wasn't anywhere near as innocent as he appeared. As curious as she was about him, that would be good enough for her. At least for now. She'd have plenty of time to learn more about him in the near future, especially if her stay in Kanto ended up being a fairly long one. She knew she'd be here for at least a week, but anything beyond that was up in the air.
Hearing him attempt some small talk, she blinked. She didn't completely dislike it, but she wasn't the biggest fan of it either. All the same, she didn't feel like being needlessly antagonistic, so she went along with it. "I don't know if I'd go so far as to say I'm happy to be here...but I suppose it's nice enough. Feels a bit bare-bones compared the Kalos, but I can certainly see some of its charms. At the very least, I don't regret coming here...Floaroma town...that's in Sinnoh, correct? To be honest, this is my first time going anywhere outside of Kalos...though, yes. I've heard that the flower fields are quite lovely, if you're into that sort of thing. Personally, I could take it or leave it."
As she spoke, she was starting to relax a little more. Not enough to let her guard down in case this was some sort of elaborate trap/ruse, but enough that her "wide-eyed tourist" act was beginning to fade. "And as much as I appreciate the thought, I've already done more than enough sightseeing. If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to just head to the wherever the base is and meet with whoever's in charge...I hear they're quite lovely." The last comment had a slightly perverted tone to it, giving Orchid a tiny peek into Cerise's true nature. "...seriously though...hardly any cute girls in any of the Kalos branches..."

Falling through the cracks...
--------------------------------------------- Tagging: @cerise Now Listening To: N/A Pretty Lil' Thoughts: New computer! Yay! --------------------------------------------- "Oh! But I am!"
The violet haired boy put on a little dance as he spun on his heel. His smile mischievous. The press of his lips would creep to the corners as they bent. The boy would lift his heel of his right foot. "I love flowers of all kinds with their meanings: some lovely, some refreshing, and some a little dangerous! Blossoms and colors are the pride of Celadon after all.~" He sung in an almost melodic manner.
His blue eyes sunk into a gaze that was almost captivated as he gazed at the woman. Some of her was truly eye catching as a foreigner; another part was out of his own self interest. With his expression and the excitement with it, he could have been mistaken for any flower child that had a naughty thought running through his head. But he would not let time pass between them to know anymore than his body language.
He had a job to do after all.
With time, the woman did show some of her self interests. Things that would cause Orchid's eyes to sweep as he caught a glimpse of the woman. "Cute girls? Don't you-" He paused. Then thought. "Ah! I see! Perhaps you should consider visiting the Cinnabar's coast or a Sauna in Cerulean City? There are always a few swimmers around those areas...n-not that I have noticed..."
He was a terrible liar about such a thing! He swore, he could wear a mask well unless it was about embarrassing little things like that! Girls and flirting were something that was lost on him! He swore it was on his undoing! Even then, if it were some grunt making vulgar conversation, Orchid would play the dedicated and loyal grunt seeking a promotion. "Do you have anything else to do!" he would shriek with booming authority, and change the subject.
Well...it did not work. Not for authority and certainly not for the opposite sex as he had to nervously bite his bottom lip and face forward as he led her to headquarters.
...falling down into the darkness.
