tag notes 326 words || woot woot, first post. | It was her first real trip away from the ranch since she had been kindly told to go live her life somewhere else by her parents. The young woman hadn't gone far, choosing to find her way to a route close to her beloved Floccesy Town. She was familiar with route 20, having traveled it countless times in her life going to and from the nearby ranches and farms. However the route seemed to have a different feel to it that she remembered - perhaps somehow larger and more lonely now that she didn't feel she could run back home when she needed to.
Regardless the sun would shine bright on the autumn day, a gentle breeze keeping the area just cool enough to warrant a jacket. Her Glameow, Felix, would rest on her shoulders. His long lankey body and long tail would drape around her shoulders as the pokemon snoozed. Her Audino would happily teeter on her feet as she followed her rather glum trainer through the route. With her remaining team left in their pokeballs in her purse Hazel couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. Had this been the route her little sister had taken that fateful night when she left home without a trace?
For a brief moment the breeder would toy with the idea of releasing the whole team to join her on her walk but the idea of having to reign in five pokemon all with quite different and contrasting personalities displeased her. For now Hazel would simply go where her feet took her letting fate decide exactly how her first real day as a travelling breeder with no home to return to went. Of course she had a home when it came down to things, her parents would take her back if she truly insisted she didn't want to do this whole wandering thing but the concern in their eyes had made her reluctantly to give this a try.

tag notes 581 words || audino used hyper voice x2, hazel and pkmn were put to sleep by yawn and the dunsparce fled. giving audino +1 lvl for exp for this battle. | It didn't take long at all for the ragtag team to come across their first wild pokemon - a Dunsparce casually making it's way across the path just ahead of them. For all intents and purposes Hazel was happy to let the rather large pokemon pass by and continue on her walk, moping and feeling sorry for herself. Audino however froze in her place, causing Hazel to stop as well and look down at the pink pokemon.
It was the same look of determination that Audino always got whenever she saw another pokemon that posed as a challenge. With a sigh the breeder would run a hand through her hair and nod at her pokemon when their eyes met. "Alright, you can battle it." Hazel said, reluctantly giving her permission as she stood back to allow her pokemon some room to fight.
Upon hearing those words the Dunsparce would stop its' travel across the path and get into a defensive posture, glaring down the Audino. It was clear that the wild pokemon was ready and willing to fight. Hazel wasn't a stranger to pokemon battles but she always felt a certain sense of being out of her element when it came to spars with wild pokemon.
The tension in the air was thick and it was obvious that the Dunsparce was waiting for its' opponent to make the first move, usually a tactic used when the pokemon in question had a trump card. With a frown Hazel would suddenly clap her hands over her ears, "Felix wake up and cover your ears, now!" She commanded, causing the sleeping cat around her neck to stir, look about and then realize the reason why.
"Audino, use hyper voice!" Hazel commanded, issuing the order for her pokemon to use it's most powerful move. She often avoided this particular attack, hating how dreadfully loud it was. Even with her hands over her ears she would hear the deafening cry and feel the sudden painful buzz between her ears as it happened.
Happily Audino complied, unleashing the unsettlingly loud scream at her opponent. It was clear Dunsparce hadn't been expecting that either and the way it recoiled and screamed in agony made it obvious. Hazel's ears rang as she dropped her hands, hearing the attack echo through the surrounding area.
But as all battles went the Dunsparce wasn't ready to give up despite Audino's show of power. With a quick motion he would open his jaws nice and slow and simply yawn towards them. Within a moment Hazel found herself matching the yawn, Audino as well, as a sudden tiredness fell over them. Hazel realized that soon both her and her pokemon would be snoozing and realized she had no other choice but to unleash the horrifically loud and disarming attack once again, in an effort to scare away their opponent.
Rubbing her very heavy eyes she would quietly tell Audino to once again use hyper voice, bringing her palms to her ears as she slumped down onto her bottom. With Audino's last few moments of consciousness she would let out another loud cry, the attack hitting the Dunsparce and causing him to recoil in pain once again. Whether the attack had knocked it out or caused it to flee would remain a mystery to both Hazel and her pokemon as the trio would find themselves slumping together in a pile underneath the cool autumn sun, dozing peacefully as if the battle hadn't taken place at all.
